When you find yourself trapped in catacombs, thank goodness for your new flightless friend! To navigate the maze, carry the wisp, and he'll help you brave the darkness. Beware of what lurks beyond the light! Among graves, there's no place for the living, ya'know?
Afterlight is a puzzle 3D-platformer where you escape the darkness or else you die! Using the wisp — a ghost who has forgotten how to fly — you'll be able to see through the catacombs and find your way out! Carry him along to save yourself from the dark, but throw him to move further through the maze!

When I proposed the idea of this “glowing orb” concept in our game mechanic becoming a “ghost who had forgotten how to fly,” I was truly struck by the game designers and programmers ability to bring that idea into fruition in just a matter of days! Seeing the process grow from a couple of concept doodles into an actual, playable game is still completely aweinspiring to me! I truly could rant endlessly about my first game jam experience!
As art lead of the project, I found myself constantly fascinated by the other side of things that I had previously left untouched – levels, blueprints, nodes, Unreal Engine!! Looking forwarding to learning more and am feeling so grateful for this source of newfound inspiration! Endless exclamation points!
